Sucre-based blues and rock band, La Chiva, are celebrating their 10th year together.
La Chiva is comprised of Gonzalo Pardo (guitar and vocals), Sergio Carrasco (bass), and Carlos Zegada (drums).
La Chiva have recently been invited to participate on a tribute album honoring Argentinian blues musician, singer and songwriter Norberto Hannibal Napolitano (1950 – 2005), better known as Pappo. Artists from Chile and Argentina will also collaborate on the album. La Chiva is the only Bolivian band invited to work on the album.
La Chiva’s fourth album is due out next year. They will also be playing at the Beyond festival in Argentina, in February.
