This post is part of our series: Carnaval in Sucre.
To showcase the traditions and Carnaval celebrations of Sucre’s outlying villages and towns, a parade called La Entrada Autóctona (the native entrance) is to be held in Sucre.
The parade features representatives from 17 groups, many of whom will also be taking part in the Pujilay festival in Tarabuco.
The parade will be held this Sunday 24th of January, beginning at 10am at Stadium Patria before making its way to Plaza Aniceto Arce (just North of Parque Bolivar, near the Rotunda). At Plaza Aniceto Arce there will be a food fair and a stage set up for bands to play.
